Relapse Prevention Counseling helps you protect the progress you have already worked hard to gain. Whether your goal is sustained sobriety or significant reduction in use, we work together to map out your personal triggers-people, places, emotions, and thoughts-and develop specific, realistic strategies to respond differently.

As a dual-licensed clinician in mental health and substance use treatment, we draw on both psychological and addiction expertise. Sessions may include craving management skills, refusal strategies, scheduling structure, and planning for high-risk situations such as holidays, work stress, or relationship conflict.

We also address the emotional side of relapse risk: shame, resentment, boredom, or grief that may quietly push you back toward old patterns. Our aim is not perfection, but stability and growth. With a clear relapse prevention plan, clients often feel more confident, less fearful of "slipping," and better able to repair quickly if a setback occurs, rather than spiraling back into full use.
